Xiao-Yan Gong, PhD (left), Founder, President & CEO
Educated in China with expertise in computational fluid mechanics at Beijing University, Dr. Gong came to US in 1991 and received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Properties of Materials from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1996.

Dr. Gong founded Medical Implant Mechanics LLC in August 2006 to meet the increasing demands of mechanics in medical devices and implant industry, with more than ten years of industrial experience and broad knowledge in materials and mechanics, Dr. Gong is known as the expert in FEA, fatigue and durability.

Shouyan Lee, PhD (right), Partner, CSO

Obtained his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California San Diego in 1993, Dr. Lee brings in more than twenty years of experience and expertise in experimental fluid mechanics and customized medical device testing from design screening to durability.

Highlights

Since founded in August 2006, we have helped our customers overcome the challenging mechincs hurdles in their prodcut development, e.g., CoreValve Inc., one of our earliest customers, was recently acquired by Medtronic for a first payment of 700 million US dollars.
