Design Optimization & Evaluation
FEA technology brings clear advantages to design optimization and to risk assessment during product research and development, thanks to its control over environment and test conditions. It lets us pinpoint weak points in a structure, shorten development time, raise quality, and lower development costs.
Implant devices include:
-
Stents
-
Heart Valves
-
Filters
Corrosion Testing for Medical Implants
Medical Implant Mechanics, LLC (MIM) offers cyclic potentiodynamic polarization testing in line with ASTM F2129 to evaluate how susceptible implantable medical devices are to corrosion. Testing takes place in a body-temperature (37oC) water bath with a Princeton Applied Research 263A Potentiostat.
MIM runs corrosion tests on implantable medical devices to evaluate potential pitting, crevice, galvanic or fretting effects arising from the device design.
Durability & Fatigue Testing
Medical Implant Mechanics, LLC (MIM) supplies dynamic and static test machines, fatigue test machines, and valve durability testers. MIM keeps delivering world-class, high-quality testing services.
MIM provides support for R&D needs in the areas of simulated use and durability thus providing product confidence before prototyping.
From early design optimization through corrosion, durability and fatigue evaluation, MIM brings engineering and testing together in one place. Our services are built around implantable devices such as stents, heart valves and filters, helping teams identify weak points and gain confidence before prototyping.
